Parvin Etesami Library Project, Negarestan Garden

In the northeastern corner of Negarestan Garden, a large historic building is visible, which is part of the complex of buildings of the Higher Educational Institution and is referred to as the Library Building.

In 1936, the then Minister of Education (Ali Asghar Khan Hekmat) commissioned the construction of this building as part of an educational complex to the Russian architect Nikolai Markov. Parvin Etesami, a contemporary and famous poet of the country, worked as a librarian in this library for a while, and therefore, in her honor, this building is also called the Parvin Library. The honor of lighting this magnificent building belongs to Persian Vera Vision Company. The client of this project is the Tehran Beautification Organization and the design consultant of the University of Tehran.
